Downum to record the minutes of faculty meetings between 1927-1935, when the university was known as both the Appalachian State Normal School and Appalachian State Teachers College. In addition to minutes, the volume contains lists of faculty members for various periods of time. Scope and Contents This collection contains the diploma of Jessie Louise Eury, who graduated from Appalachian State Normal School in 1929. She was the sister of former Appalachian head librarian, W. L. Eury.

Scope and Contents This collection contains two items. The first is an original certificate issued by the Appalachian Training School to Martha Blanche Horton on May 2, 1923 for satisfactorily completing studies "not marked." There is a list of courses along both the left and right margins. Those crossed out were not completed by Horton. These others were. The second item is an original diploma issued to Horton by the Appalachian State Normal School, dated August 22, 1925

Scope and Contents This collection contains photocopies of documents pertaining to the establishment of a training school for teachers in western North Carolina, which eventually became Appalachian State University. It also includes the charter for Appalachian State University, as well as histories of specific campus departments and offices and organizational charts.
