Ella W. Thompson Scrapbook (Senior Year), 1936-1937, 2007

This scrapbook covers Ella W. Thompson's senior year at Appalachian. Included are photographs of Thompson as a student and at her 90th birthday party in 2007, Lloyd Hobbs, Thompson's friends, the YWCA Cabinet members, the YWCA Cabinet trip to Valle Crucis (including a photograph of a woman identified as the "Puerto Rican young lady who had only been in the U.S. 3 days," the wrestling team, and Thompson on graduation day in cap and gown and with her father. There are also contemporary postcards of campus buildings, such as the Demonstration School and the Administration building. The scrapbook also includes clippings and athletics-related ephemera, letters written by Thompson to her family, and letters written between Thompson and Hobbs.
