Baptist Student Union scrapbooks
Scope and Contents
This collection contains scrapbooks created by student members of the Baptist Student Union (BSU) at Appalachian State University between the years 1942-2010. It also contains a few vinyl albums. The scrapbooks include clippings, flyers, invitations, and photographs of BSU events and participants.

Researchers are advised that the disclosure of certain information pertaining to identifiable living individuals represented in this collection without the consent of those individuals may have legal ramifications (e.g., a cause of action under common law for invasion of privacy may arise if facts concerning an individual's private life are published that would be deemed highly offensive to a reasonable person) for which the Appalachian State University assumes no responsibility.
Biographical / Historical
The Baptist Student Union first appears in the 1938 issue of The Rhododendron, Appalachian State University's yearbook. For many years, the club was associated with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. In January 2014, it reorganized as the Baptist Ministry of the High Country.
