Scope and Contents
Sepia tone photographs of Boone, North Carolina, Appalachian Training School, and Appalachian State Normal School campuses and buildings. Subjects include: the corner of D. D. Dougherty Memorial Library, women's dorms (including White Residence Hall) and gym, the first Lovill Home, faculty houses, Boone Elementary School, Dr. Wright's house on Locust Street (on fire), faculty apartments, men's dorm, old Newland Hall, the first elementary school built in Boone, the first and second administration buildings, Smith-Wright Hall, the Cafeteria, the Blowing Rock, and a view of Boone from Howard's Knob. The collection also includes a Boone, NC postcard.
