Content Description

This is a collection of mostly black & white photos of Graydon Eggers and Daisy Williams Eggers. The photographs include portraits and events at Appalachian. Of particular note are photographs of Daisy Williams Eggers as May Day Queen in 1938 and of her in a campus play the same year.

Biographical / Historical

Graydon Eggers was a football coach, basketball coach, and English professor at Appalachian State University. Eggers Residential Hall was dedicated to him and his brother Herman in 1971.

Daisy Williams graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College in 1938 and 1953. She also served as a faculty member of the English Department. She was very active in the Alumni Association.
