Content Description

This collection contains 35 music scores, manuscript and printed, and a white satin cloth related in some way to Franceso Bodoira when he played. Gary Boye of the Music Library provided the detailed inventory found in Box 1.

Biographical / Historical

This collection was owned by Francesco Bodoira, who played clarinet, piccolo, and flute in an Italian Grenadiers regiment in World War I.

This collection is alphabetically arranged into six series in the following order: Series I: Manuscript material - Parts with Czech titles; Series II: Manuscript materials - Parts with Italian titles; Series III: Manuscript materials - Scores, all for band; Series IV: Manuscript materials - Theoretical works, etc.; Series V: Printed materials - Parts; and, Series VI: Printed materials - Scores, all for band. Items within the series are arranged alphabetically by envelope title.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This collection was donated by Roger W. Bodo, the son of Francesco Bodoira, in March 2013.
