Scope and Contents

This collection consists of one land plat for land granted to William B. Johnston in Bibb County, Georgia. The land was surveyed on July 12, 1832 by G. W. Smith, but the exact date of the land plat is unknown as it references provisions of an "Act passed 21st December, 1843." The plat is signed by the surveyor general, P. M. Compton.
