This collection consists of the handwritten text for "Ballad of the Rich Wooer" by poet Olive Tilford Dargan. Beneath the poem is a small note to Mr. Steele, possibly William Daniel Steele (1886-1970), a fellow North Carolina author.

Biographical Note

Olive Tilford Dargan was born on January 11, 1869 in Grayson County, Kentucky. She was a writer and a poet. Dargan died on January 22, 1968.
