Biographical Note

Dr. William Thomas Jamison is a professor in the Department of Leadership and Educational Studies. Having been at Appalachian State University since 1970, he served as chair of the Secondary Education Department (1978-1983) and Department of Library Science and Educational Foundations (1984-1990). Those two departments have since reorganized, but Dr. Jamison has been working in the College of Education for approximately 40 years. Jamison received an Educational Studies AB, MAT and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina.
