Isaac Foster Letter to Whitley Foster
Scope and Contents
Letter written by Isaac Foster to his son Whitley, who had recently moved to Milledgeville, Georgia from his family's home in Chatham, Connecticut. In the letter, Isaac Foster offers his opinion on the Cherokee removal from their land, stating that their removal is unjust. He also discusses South Carolina's threats to secede from the United States and shares family news.
