Scope and Contents
This collection consists of two audiocassettes with the transcripts of the interviews by Luray Greene Rominger and Grace Wilkins of Ennice, North Carolina, and Lisa Bryan of Sparta, North Carolina. The focus of the interviews are growing up as African-American families in Alleghany and Ashe Counties, their education and religious experiences, and other aspects of life from the 1930s to the present.
User and archival CD copies were made of both tapes and are located in Box 2.

There is not a lot of background on this oral history project. Interviewee Grace Wilkins is from Ennice, North Carolina, and interviewee Lisa Bryan is from Sparta, North Carolina.
