The place of Boyd's residence seems to be Cynthiana, Kentucky. He was a judge there, and his wife Lucinda Rogers Boyd was an author of the 1894 book, "Chronicles of Cynthiana." They raised several children, one of whom became the first woman to graduate in medicine from the University of Cincinnati.
