Inspector's record book
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of an inspector's record book, believed to have belonged to Richard Yuba. The inspections are dated between 1865-1868 and show transactions in petroleum, whiskey, beer, and tobacco, mostly in cities located in West Virginia. Mentioned in it are Mill Creek Oil Company, J.G. & J.M. Staunton, Joseph Keifer of Charleston, Woodford White of Shrewsbury, and Joseph Lindner of Charleston.
This item is extremely fragile and should be handled with great care.
