This collection is a series of interviews conducted by Diane Price, freelance journalist, Appalachian State University Graduate Student about George Berry. The interviews are numbered one through four and six (no number five) in a series entitled "The George Berry Interviews" dating July 1995 and April 1999, transcribed in 1999. Price also compiled a Pathfinder/Bibliography on Berry in 1998, revising it in 1998 and 1999, a copy of which is in this collection.

Biographical Note

George L. Berry led a distinguished career and life, serving as president of the International Printing Pressmen and Assistants' Union for 41 years. This pathfinder provides insight to his union life, political career, and topics related to Pressmen's Home in Hawkins County, Tennessee, which was Berry's self-sufficient community, housing an international printer's technical school, sanitarium, church, hotel, and other buildings.
