This collection consists of letters written to Ellwood Anderson Hawkins of Abingdon, Virginia. The majority were written by her husband, C. F. (Charles Franklin), during their courtship, though there are some written after their marriage. The primary subject of the letters is marriage.

Biographical Note
Ellwood Anderson Hawkins was born on March 9, 1905 and died on November 10, 1980. She was married to Charles Franklin Hawkins, and they lived in Abingdon, Virginia.
