Scope and Contents

This collection consists of two copy prints the John H. Mast family home in the Cove Creek community of Watauga County, North Carolina. The original photograph from which the copy prints were made is dated circa 1914. Photographed in front of the house are John and Nan Mast, Clyde Corum (farm hand), Nettie Greer, Cleo Mast, Nora Mast, and Clarence J. Mast. Also in the photograph is the 1914 Ford car owned by John Mast's brother, Pete. Information provided by the donor of the copy prints indicates that this particular car was one of the three first cars in the Cove Creek community.
