Department of Psychology Records

The Department of Psychology provides students the opportunity to pursue either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree and also offers four master's level graduate programs. Freshman Seminar Office Records

Abstract
Freshman Seminar (now called First Year Seminar) was established at ASU in 1987 as a course to help students transition to college. The program operates within the University College, and all Appalachian students are required to take it. These records contain several VHS tapes pertaining to the history of Appalachian, as well as student papers, historical files, curriculum files and a file from the Educational Goals Task Force.

The Training Teachers of Teachers Program was established at ASU in 1969, and was designed to improve teaching at all levels by providing continuing instruction for graduate level professors.
