Abstract
The Appalachian State University Oral History Projects, Audio Materials and Papers Collection is a mixture of audiocassettes from several oral history projects, conferences, and events, dating in the 1970s-1980s, some of which have been positively identified as to which project the interview is related while others are not. A few transcriptions, CD copies, and duplicates are also part of this collection.

The Miscellaneous Oral History Transcripts consists of 41 transcriptions oral interviews of 49 Watauga County, North Carolina residents. Interviews were conducted in 1973 and 1997. Interviewees discuss folkways such as food and clothings, church participation, education, personal history, holiday traditions, wedding customs, local history, race relations, moonshining, and the Great Depression.
