Abstract UA.5068: Instructional Technology Center Records is a collection relating to the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) that was formed in 1976 under the Division of Academic Affairs, and consisted of Creative Services, Distance Learning and Video Services, Online Service, Public Services, and Support Services. The Instructional Technology Center Records contain some administrative and correspondence files as well as nearly 30 videos in varying formats, dating 1978-2002.

Abstract Academic Affairs oversees functions and offices relating to the academic operations of ASU and the head of the office is the Provost, who reports directly to the Chancellor. The Office of Academic Affairs Records contain a variety of administrative, planning, financial, committee/council, subject, calendar, report and correspondence files, dating 1962-2009, though most of the files date to the 1980s and 1990s.

Overview Francis T. Borkowski served as Appalachian State University's fifth chancellor from 1993 until 2003. The records reflect the academic and administrative operations within the university, interactions with higher education organizations in North Carolina and the South, athletic programs, cultural outreach efforts, student life, relations with Boone, N.C. and other communities in western North Carolina, alumni relations, and fundraising for the university.

Abstract The Training Teachers of Teachers Program was established at ASU in 1969, and was designed to improve teaching at all levels by providing continuing instruction for graduate level professors. The Training Teachers of Teachers (TTT) Records contain correspondence, planning documents, reports, instructional materials, budget and accounting files, grant materials, and meeting minutes concerning the planning and implementation of the TTT program at ASU and date 1969 to 1974, when the program ended.
