Appalachian High School was one of the two demonstration schools housed at Appalachian State Teachers College (Appalachian State University). Contents include the "Salute to the Seniors" issue (May 25, 1951) and pages 3-7 of a Christmas issue, likely from 1950.

Abstract Carolyne Jane Hamlin Badgett graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College with a B.S. degree in 1961. She taught in Winston-Salem, North Carolina until 1965. After taking time off, she took a teaching job at Dobson Elementry School in Surry County, North Carolina, where she remained until her retirement in 1996. This collection consists of photocopies letters written to Carolyne Hamlin Badgett during her freshman year of college at Appalachian State Teachers College.
