Abstract
The Mountain Retreat Association prospectus, titled "A Mountain Retreat. Health and Rest, Home in the 'Land of the Sky,'" outlines a plan for a Christian community (now known as Montreat) near Black Mountain, N.C. The collection consists of three items: the prospectus, accompanying letter, and the envelope in which they were delivered to Mr. W.W. Finlay of the Southern Railway Company.
