Abstract The Appalachian Regional Ephemera Collection contains flyers, posters, postcards, brochures, travel guides, booklets, programs, and other ephemera from Appalachian towns or with Appalachian themes. There are real estate booklets with northwestern North Carolina houses for sale, as well as brochures of businesses, museums, and tourist attractions of Appalachia.

Abstract The Blackburn Farms Collection is a collection of family mementos, quilts, photographs, correspondence, financial papers, books of art and history, family Bibles, phonograph recordings, and other materials. The Blackburn family lived in Ashe County, North Carolina.

Abstract The David Isaacs "Yesterday's Harvest" Digital Scrapbook collection is one CD and an archival CD copy of black and white and color scanned photographs compiled by David Isaacs with some explanatory text intermingled, photographs dating back to the 1960's.

Abstract The Elk Knob Community Heritage Organization (EKCHO) Portrait Stories collection contains color copies of twelve handwritten, autobiographical stories with hand-drawn portraits of Elk Knob Community (North Carolina) residents, and copies of them on CD.

Abstract The Jack Jeffers Photography Collection contains over 700 matted photographic prints, many framed, of the Appalachian region. The majority of photographs were taken in Virginia and West Virginia.

Abstract The John Alexander Williams Papers consist of Williams' research and professional files which he developed as a Professor of History at Appalachian State University. Materials include photocopies of primary sources, manuscripts, publications, posters, photographs, CD-ROMs, floppy discs, and West Virginia related artifacts.

Abstract The Muriel Miller Dressler Papers is a small collection of Dressler's poetry, photographs and publication drafts. There are also several items and some information and photos of author Earl Hamner.

Abstract The Rufus E. Cox Diary of Travels and Employment collection is a tiny 2-1/2"x 4" red pocket diary that documents Mr. Cox's travels over much of the eastern United States, and gives his accounts of his myriad of jobs.

Abstract The William "Billy" C. Plumley Papers contains color and black and white photographs and slides of celebrities, several autographed guest books, audiovisual recordings of lectures and presentations, and the personal copy of Davis Grubb's "The Night of the Hunter," given to Plumley by Grubb.
