Appalachian Consortium records
The Appalachian Consortium, in operation from 1970-2004, was a nonprofit, educational organization formed by a partnership of academic institutions dedicated to preserving the history and enhancing the future of the Southern Appalachian region. This collection contains files detailing the initial organization and continuing leadership of the Consortium, its finances and correspondence, as well as its major projects, grants, publications, and conferences.
Hans Schwieger papers
German conductor Hans Schwieger was the first music director for the Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he held from 1948 to 1971. His papers contain photographs, scrapbooks, recordings, annotated scores, correspondence, concert programs and awards relating primarily to his career as a conductor.

Onnie Mell Busbin Jr. was a professor of Library Science at Appalachian State University from 1967-1991.
