Freshman Seminar Office Records

Abstract Freshman Seminar (now called First Year Seminar) was established at ASU in 1987 as a course to help students transition to college. The program operates within the University College, and all Appalachian students are required to take it. These records contain several VHS tapes pertaining to the history of Appalachian, as well as student papers, historical files, curriculum files and a file from the Educational Goals Task Force.

Abstract The Univesity Archives was founded in 1981 to maintain records of the University that have permanent historical value. This collection consists of CDs containing the master TIFF files from the Appalachiain State University Historical Photographs Digitization Project as well as information on the Appalachian Consortium and personnel files from the University Archives.
