Scope and Contents The collection includes three black and white photographs. One photograph is of the 1941-1942 Girls' Basketball Team and includes both Agnes and coach Thursa Sneed. The other two photographs are candids of students on-campus after a snow.

Abstract Ella W. Thompson and her husband Dr. Lloyd LeRoy Hobbs were students at Appalachian State Teacher's College from 1933 to 1937. This collection of scrapbooks, memorabilia, and publications documents their experiences at ASTC including correspondence with family and friends.

Abstract J. Paul Winkler was a graduate of Appalachian State Teacher's College. He was instrumental in organizing the Burke County chapter of alumni. The J. Paul Winkler Scrapbooks, created by Winkler himself, are predominately related to the Appalachian State Teachers College football team, but also includes information realted other ASTC athletic teams and to the college.

Scope and Content Excerpts of letters written by James Franklin Haynes to his daughter Mary Haynes Dalton detailing his memories of Appalachian State Normal School in 1912, 1923, and 1926. Mary Haynes Dalton compiled the excerpts into this document, copyrighted 1992.
Abstract John Dinkins, a 1967 graduate of Appalachian State University, worked as a university photographer in the 1970s. This collection contains newspapers, promotional pamphlets, four photographs, postcards, and reports related to programs, services, and events at Appalachian State University. Materials date mostly from the 1970s and early 1980s.
